Senior Citizen Audit Request

Persons 60 years of age or older, who have been Florida residents for at least one year as of the first day of classes, may enroll tuition free as audit students (i.e., no academic grade or credit). Registration is on a space-available basis and begins at 3:30 on the day before classes begin. Please refer to the current Academic Calendar for specific times and dates.

Senior Audit students are those who desire to attend class(es) without receiving academic credit. Regular tuition and fees are assessed for audit registration; however, the Cashier’s Office will void fees at the end of Late Registration and the Add Deadline. Course enrollment is on a space-available basis at the prescribed time of registration or at any time during the late registration and add period (Note: late registration fees will apply).

  • Senior Citizens registering for the first time (60 years old or older) must complete the Senior Citizen Audit Application and Senior Citizen Residency Affidavit and submit both forms to the Registrar's Office at least one week prior to the first day of class. View the instructional brochure or come to Millican Hall room 161 for assistance.
  • Returning Senior Citizens should only complete the Senior Citizen Audit Application and submit the form to the Registrar’s Office at least one week prior to the first day of class.
  • Self registration for courses will be available online at https://my.ucf.edu after 3:30 p.m., May 15, 2009 for Summer A/C/D; June 26, 2009 for Summer B; August 21, 2009 for Fall; and January 8, 2010 for Spring 2010. Audit requests for students who register prior to the times listed will be denied. Refer to the current Academic Calendar for more information.
  • Senior Citizen Audit registration is on a "space available" basis. High demand courses are typically filled by full-time students. Eligible senior citizens may need permission or an override to register for upper level or graduate courses. For additional information about override availability and procedures, contact the college or department offering the course and ask for assistance with the registration process or visit http://registrar.sdes.ucf.edu/weg/transient_student/college_contacts/.
  • To verify your enrollment get the Fee Invoice/Schedule from myUCF or pick it up at the Registrar's Office on the first day of classes. If needed, the senior audit student can request assistance with course changes. All course changes and registration must be completed by the last day of Late Add.
  • If you are unable to register before the close of Registration, register for UCF 1500, the “UCF Temporary Course.” This will allow you to enroll during Late Registration yet not incur the $100 Late Registration Fee.
  • Although the Fee Invoice/Schedule may display tuition and fees, the Cashier’s Office will void fees after registration ends.
  • To obtain your UCF Card, call (407) 823-2100 or take the receipt from the Cashier's Office to the Student Services Building (John T. Washington Center), Room 104. Visit the UCF Card web site, http://www.ucfcard.ucf.edu, for more information.
  • To obtain your parking permit, visit the Parking Services web site, http://parking.ucf.edu/ or call (407) 823-5812 for fee and vehicle registration information.

Students can contact the Registrar’s Office located in Millican Hall room 161 or call 407-823-5148 for more information.
